Our History

The "dream" began with the desire to bring Pizza Perfection from Italy to Ireland to satisfy the increasingly discerning palates of Irish customers.

Dough Balls and butter

In 1995 the dream turned into reality with the opening of the first Milano restaurant in Dawson Street.

Dublin had never experienced such Pizza Perfection before! The Dawson Street Milano soon became a favourite with the Dublin set due to its relaxed and sociable atmosphere as well as for its fabulous pizzas and salads. The restaurant was frequently mentioned as a favourite meeting place of several modern Irish writers and artists.

The demand for Pizza Perfection grew and Milano restaurants, each with its own distinctive personality, opened in Temple Bar, Cork, Galway, Limerick, at the IFSC in Dublin, Dundrum new Town Centre and at Grand Canal Harbour. The most recent Milano opened on 1st July 2008 at Baggot Street Bridge, Haddington Road, Dublin and is set to become a firm favourite with local office workers and residents.
